? why didnt he lay out and cut the first rock on a flat surface ? i would have used a straight edge and made up all of the pieces on the ground then fit them in the air. his second piece was longer then the first piece

Great video. Can't help but feel disappointed that I didn't get to see the guy finish it though. A follow up video of mudding and taping the dome with a link to it at the end of this video would have been a nice touch.

@mvwoon Wouldn't the dome have an undesirable flat top that way?

Excellent job guys...aside from myself you might be the only other guys on this earth that do this correctly.

@JennaHaze2000 Hi Jenna, I used a "Hopper" that is used for spraying textured ceiling plaster. Normally with styrofoam balls in it. In my case I used the hopper filled with Plaster of Paris that I mixed up somewhat "wet". Used a potato masher on an electric drill to mix it. Sprayed it after it was up. Took 10 80lb bags so I figure its 800lbs of weight. Its been installed for 7 years now and looks great. Picture at dream builder custom homes dot com

@dreambuilders48808 Did you spray plaster into it on the ceiling or on the ground? Did you use plater paris? My plaster always clumps up in 5 seconds.

@JennaHaze2000 I used an old 10' mesh satellite dish. Framed it up into the ceiling then sprayed plaster onto it using a curved form to shape the plaster to the dish. Took about 3 hours to get it done then all I did was lightly sand it smoother.
If I don't have a drywall router, can I just use my lightsabre?
