I am proud to have (some) Native American heritage because I believe that when one has nothing to know of God but nature, one can truly know God through nature. Thus, I believe that all things that come from nature have a divine purpose (except spiders, of course). So the other night, after a peanut butter and mushroom sandwich, I felt the need to exorcise a negativity that had been building in me for the last week. I had a feeling it would work. Respect the compass, let it guide you and you will reach a destination wherein you are truly meant to discover something or release something or maybe (and in this case, surely) a little bit of both.

Your songs are so 'complete', if that makes sense. Sung and played perfectly and everything laid bare in those brilliant lyrics of yours. I just feel spent after listening to you and have to sit quietly after you've finished, staring at the screen for a bit to let it sink in. I particularly like this song, Matt.
