BN 3014 handles the switching moves for sugar filled hoppers to the Blue Bell Ice Cream plant in Brenham, Texas. It runs on a small section of former Southern Pacific tracks that used to run from Austin to Hempstead, TX. The operation is part of BNSF, who's main line from Houston to Fort Worth runs through Brenham. Taken Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

  • My cousins and I once saw a "Blue Bell train" with three grain cars led by what I thought were two navy blue and yellow BNSF Dashs. If I can find it I'll send you response

  • Now UP uses a line from Hearne to Austin
