When I was about 8 years old I stayed with my Aunt and Uncle in Strawberry Hill
and when ever I went to the cinema they would allways play this in the interval.Great memories.Thank you texpaco for posting it

Fantastic arrangement from a fantastic movie (Picnic) and this is the music from the scene where Kim Novak & William Holden dance together - sensuality and illicit romance at it's best.


This song reminds me of my mom. I never realized how beautiful and special it was until she was gone. Thanks for posting this.

Just so we have this straight... this selection contains two combined melodies. The jazz combo (with the piano) is playing "Moonglow", by Eddie DeLange, Irving Mills (publisher) and Will Hudson. Then the strings come in with the "Theme from Picnic" by George Duning. This recording is by the Columbia Pictures Orchestra, conducted by Morris Stoloff.
