You are talking about the Porton Down tests that released the marker Zinc Cadmium sulphide,as an analogue for chemical warfare attack by soviets.

The test footage does not resemble modern footage claimed to be "chemtrails".

An actual chemical release such as the porton down tests does NOT result in lingering trails that grow bigger and thicker the way condensation trails can because a chemical release CANNOT acquire MORE of the same chemical from the atmosphere.

Contrails can.
