alright here's the thing. I respect mayer for what he's doing for the blues scene and he has talent. that being said, he is completely overrated. i used to work in the music business and i can assure you there are countless guitarists younger than mayer that are lightyears ahead of his abilities. Check out derek trucks, joe bonamassa, smokin joe robinson, or really just walk into any bar in nashville. most real talent is never heard because of the long and lonesome road to commericial success.
