people nowadays dont know how to make good mtv anymore.... i dont get though that mtv was officially launched in 81 or something like that in the us and here it doesnt get launched till 97? thats approx. 16 years... :( we kinda missed out on the good then... old mtv was kool! bring it back... !! I know! someone make a thing on facebook like like to bring back the old mtv and see what happens!!

The beginning was and still is the coolest thing ever. I actually used to watch MTV via Sky satellite in Finland (as a half-brit). I tuned in every day, but in 1/7/97 I couldn't expect an localised UK version and when I saw the Bittersweet Symphony clip, I really cried for happiness. And 13 years later when this clip was found, I cried again for the memories. Nowadays MTV is nothing but reality garbitch, somebody could do something about it...

Yeah, we have crappy MTV channels here - they're awful. But we also have VH1 Classic (for old fogies like myself), and they put on Classic 120 Minutes just the other night and I nearly died of happiness. It was two hours of bliss. All the music I loved growing up. So fortunately my husband has decided not to board that plane back to England just yet, haha!

in the uk the mtv channel shows show's and all of that like brooke knows best etc. we have seperate channels for diffrent genres for music.
