  • To contadict someone is to assume they have personal control over their actions, which is a projection of believing you do also. To assert nonduality is dualistic itself. Be silent.

  • I am the ocean and the drop, I am the cleaner and the mop, I am the bell-boy and the bell, I am pussy and the well... I am the toaster and the toast, And though I do not like to boast— I am the saucer and the Source Of ALL THAT IS -- right NOW, of course... I hope I've made it very clear, That you're the one who isn't here. So when we meet along the way, Don't even try to say G'day!" ~ Ann Faraday
  • This life is a wonderful movie , an illusion. However when we go to the cinema do we keep telling ourselves it's only a movie? I hope not , otherwise we can't enjoy it! Theoretically we are all one and there is no other . How could you enjoy sex if you keep thinking "I'm screwing my self" LOL

  • Mr Parsons is a very funny fucked up man.. I love him. Peace.

  • tony parsons is 99.99% truth

  • @BeautyEnhancements4U the act of wanting doesn't keep you at a distance from WANTING, does it? It's what you are doing RIGHT "NOW", at that moment. You are wanting (that lovely spaced out feeling). RIGHT NOW, you are reading this. RIGHT NOW, you may be confused. It's all just about RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, and acknowledging it. If you plunge into the moment, you won't even have the time to notice the love of your life coming to you. It will just HAPPEN, or it won't. Most probably will happen... ;)

  • Parsons, although his personality is still very opinionated and a bit too interested in the "teachings" of "others," such as Ramana and Tolle, on occasion ignorantly pointing out how they are in duality and are so different from where he is coming from--overall, still wonderfully helps many people with his simple messages of liberation from separation and Oneness-realization.

He has been known to freely admit that his personality is "rude," among other characteristics. Funny, eh? Hehe.

    Peace

  • I like the light that Tony Parsons has shed but it seems that in this game of duality/creation we do play with the idea that different approaches work with different people. We adjust to different cultures, different styles of communicating, different philosophic exposure etc. We work with someones experience level etc. We see that at the nondual level consciousness is nondual.

  • i always suspected that there was no one who could inquire "who am I" for there has never been anyone really.

  • I want that lovely spaced out feeling you get when you're happy and in love... I want it all the time, with or without a man to be in love with. But just the act of wanting it keeps me at a distance from it.

Why does this have to be so confusing :(

  • @ngancitano "To contadict someone is to assume they have personal control over their actions, which is a projection of believing you do also. To assert nonduality is dualistic itself. Be silent." Who would have personal control to choose to be silent?

  • For a more sensible critique of Ramana's teaching which doesn't rest on straw man fallacies, google

"Commentary on Ramana's teachings" James Schwartz

    This one is excellent !

  • The other thing Parsons doesn't seem to understand ("there is bloody oneness or there isn't") is that practices are not meant to create oneness but to turn the habits of ignorance against itself so that reality can not only be there but will be no longer obscured by ignorance. To criticize practices as if they serve a positive function of artifice rather than - as it really is - a negative one of self-correction of ignorance just shows a lack of training for teaching - no matter if he's realized
