It's like near the end of "It's A Wonderful Life". George Bailey realizes that no matter how bad things were, he still wouldn't want to change a thing. But in this case because Tomoya came to the same conclusion, things did change for the better! OK, that may not be exactly right; but as long as Nagisa and Ushio don't die do you really care?

I'm not surprised some people still don't get it. If you played the game you should though. It's like this, you get through the game without say... "completing the game 100%" which doesn't give you the real ending "Nagisa and Ushio dying" Then you are given a chance to go back, via save point and collect the orbs to unlock the real ending (happy)

@AlvinXBrittany so does that mean tomoya just died in the other world, but is alive in the world they were living in, then got his wish in the real world and was able to make ushio and nagisa live again? in other words, his robot counterpart's life made his wish possible?

Tomoya had another chance or something like that.. he had another chance after Ushio died. Thats what I think, He went back to 5 years ago when Nagisa was giving birth to Ushio and that time she lived.
