GORGEOUS WOMAN

@VCDartay I think the piano is lifted on rollers, so she's probably average height...

This is how this should be played. <3 Baldwin.

I had no idea she was that petite - the piano comes up to her chest! I have always loved her singing. Baldwin is, as always, pretty much perfect.

I will always treasure the memory of her recital at Portland's Lewis & Clark College back in the 70's. I had to catch the last bus back into town and was about to leave when she announced, as an encore, my favorite schubert lied. "Auf dem wasser zu singen" I would gladly have walked home rather than miss it; amazingly, the bus was delayed, so I didn't have to. She was one of the greatest of artists, and anyone posting here who asserts that she wasn't, clearly knows nothing about singing.

gosh, so I've made a few typos, so what?? Christ.
I cannot explain why i find her selfindulgent. I just do. art is not an exact science... I have worked with her too and she's not a nice lady.
Elly Ameling is and was known for her graciousness. Evidently you have not viewed the other videos of her here where she clearly, obviously and kindly acknowledges her accompanist, Dalton Baldwin.
