@suavemaurice In all fairness the dog was playing, if not the cat would be crushed with the first bite, after that the cat has all the advantage in its out turned and thus quicker shoulders when it becomes like a boxing match. But you're right, if the dog was playing for blood the cat would most likely be dead. One of the coolest thing about dogs is how gentle, accurate, lighting fast those teeth can be.

@CelticFireChild in now way did the cat kick the dogs, but dogs hunt in packs. One dog doesn't fight in away to just grab and hold on till the cat dies. That is why the dog got the first bight in, but then backed up to reset for another attack. The problem with a predator v predator fight is they both are fighting to kill.
