@1234534lukas D3000 and d60 are both ok, the d3000 is probably better because it has faster features but the best thing to get now is the nikon d3100 which has a huge improvement in image quality.

I still love my D40 to bits. The D60 is rubbish! I bought one and I sold it after 6 Months. I also have a D90. The D90 is also a cracking little machine also ( You can use non-moterised lenses on the D90 also)

I now how 3 DSLR cameras.. A D40 D90 and the all new D3100.

I carry a "Back up" camera at all times it is a 14MP point and shoot. However it is not a patch on my 6 megapixel D40.

Megapixels mean JACK SHIT! once you get over the 6 megapixel mark!

Some more thing is that there are NOT remote and stuff like that for d40,d40x or the d60
