Learn how to carve a turkey the right way!

Mark Dommen, chef-partner of San Franciscos One Market Restaurant, advises viewers against the wrong approach: Do not use a dull knife, do not carve at the dining table (as much as you might want to), and do not hack at your bird willy-nilly. For a full list of dos, watch the CHOW video.

  • @Charr3169 wtf no he didn't. there is a thin layer of gristle and un-apetizing fatty deposits left over, and that is amazing for homemade stock. Not a waste at all.

  • it went from looking like a turkey to looking like a frog

  • I have looked at 5 vids and this one The best!! Presentation is half the battle!

  • He left the best part of the meat on the carcass!!!! Certainly not the way to go.... But I liked the way he cut the breasts.

  • WTF he acts like if you don't carve it right it will taste like shit. well FU i'm going to carve my turkey with a fucking dessert spoon, how do you like that?

  • @JoesPlaying He has a different meaning of stuffing than you do. By stuffing he means that type with bread in it, and Gordon Ramsay's turkey has stuffing for flavor not for eating. The reason why he doesn't stuff it is because by the time the stuffing inside gets to the safe temperature for eating, the outside is overcooked. I hope you were kidding because everyone has their own way of cooking and there isn't one definite way to cook a turkey.

  • This is ridiculous.. no stuffing? This turkey doesn't look that good, try checking out Ramsay's christmas turkey and then talk to me about not stuffing it, pretencious douchebag.

  • cant hear him well

  • Using the word "carcass" makes the bird sound really appetizing.

  • Excellent presentation! I think the "You're doing it all wrong" approach is humorous because it probably applies to the vast majority of the general population, most of whom would object to being corrected anyway! But for those who want to know how to do it RIGHT - this presentation takes you straight there. Thanks Mark!

  • I like to record videos on my toaster too.
