How to make your printed circuit boards yourself at home. This one 6" x 6" piece of copper clad circuit board material gets transformed into printed circuit boards. Used positive photosensitive pre-sensitized 1 ounce single-sided copper clad board.

Lamp used: UV 275W Sylvania bulb

  • Can I print the artwork with the HP inkjet ? Or it will just spill all over the transparent film ?

  • no to sure I have never tried that way

  • @cristian3131 Use Vellum paper, available from any stationary store. UV Light passes through it just as well as it does transparancies. You can also get there, a felt tipped pen you can use to touch up any place where the ink is a little thin!!!

  • @pat60606 I use the transpariency because it works. Not interested in changing the method. I don't need to use a felt tip marker because the blacks are always solid.

  • These videos are great. I wonder, can this process be used for a (high) power amplifier PCB? Let's say a 200w x2 @ 8ohm/1000w x2@ 1.5 ohm continuous power direct coupled amplifier? Feed +75/-75 volts. I'm guessing either no, or the traces would have to be wide etc.

    Thanks

  • Yes you could make any kind of electronic device with through hole or surface mount components

  • so how does this stop the whole board from being conductive?

  • Guy sounds like NightFlyyer

  • if you printer paper is thin and semi transparent then i guess that would work just as well as film, may take a few more mins to develop but should still produce same results.

  • Do you need to use laser for this method?

  • @PureBrew1 take in calculation your amperage...

  • @cristian3131 you cant use any inkjet printer because it uses ink, you should use laser printer and photocopy machine because it uses toner and toner can melt using ordinary iron, you can print it on inkjet and copy it in your photocopy machine!
