If they did a modern version of this play Kasem G (the guy who plays Borat) would be PERFECT for the role of the police chief.

Wow just read all the comments & how nice that Tony was so well appreciated. I never knew he died in the 90's so that was a shock to read & I feel really sad as he had exciting plans for his future. I'm the short cop on the left behind him as we made our entrance through the avenue of trees. He was smashing to work with for nearly 5 months (I think) at Shepperton & wish I'd gone to New York before he died to visit him. Yours Frankie Cull

A very enthusiastic and athletic performance (from USA?). As someone who has been 'reared' on the native D'Oyley Carte productions I must say that there is native natural restraint missing that in fact adds to the humour. Trying too hard takes away some of it. Check out some of the UK versions of G&S. Compliments anyway for an interesting post.
I laughed so hard at 4:41

@kidduffah Good grief. don't hold back, tell us what you *really* think! I mean honestly! I prefer this version to almost every other one I've heard. The whole point of G&S stuff is that it's *Corny* it's supposed to be silly, that what makes it G&S. This version is priceless. Chill.
