Yeah, Trey destroys Clapton on this one. I feel sorry to say it too but he simply does.
Trey can't play with the emotion of Clapton? Trey bends up a minor third WHILE trilling. The emotion that evokes is greater (imo) than anything Clapton did with this solo.

its great, dont get me wrong, but nothing beats erics woman tone, weeping never sounded as weeping as when eric played it it on a gibson.
his woman tone was something to behold.
clapton from 66 to 68, from the bluesbreakers to cream, is the only guy who can stand side by side with 68 to 70 hendrix (before jimi did too much rely on studio solos, only in 68 he completely freed himself from them).
listen to any steppin out by cream from 66 or 67, klooks kleek london is prob my fave.
