DonJon Services Wrecks Bolmer Motor Car in Bound Brook

DonJon Demolition Services a division of DonJon Marine Salvage demolishes the Bolmer Motor Car building in historic Bound Brook, New Jersey on November 24th, 2009.
Built around 1916 the historic Bolmer building was home to Bolmer Motor Car up to the 1970's.
It was a dealership for early Desotos and Plymouth's in the late 60's.
The 2 story wood and steel frame brick building boasted a showroom on the second floor.
In more recent years it served as a body shop, and municipal garage for the borough of Bound Brook.
The floods of Hurricane Floyd in 1999 put this and other buildings nearby under almost 12 feet of water weakening the structure.

Bolmer motor car was a beautiful building in its day i ve seen old pics of it and been in it before public works took it over middle earth teen center was there the building was in much better shape then it fell apart after the public works took it over the voorhees building is much older and they say the flood weaked the building

no it was neglected for10 years the voorhees building isnt weak

I was trying to find more historical info on it. The teen center explains the painted walls and such on the interior.

Yeah, but its a controlled mess, nothing that a loader can't handle. Aside from the front corner everything stays pretty contained.
