  • Why do athletes warm up? Well, b/c your tendons & ligaments as well as myofascial tissues are cold and "stiff" and increase the potential for injury if not warmed up properly.I can say by experience, once these tissues are well warmed up,athletic ability takes on a higher level of performance.A well trained athlete should "briskly" warm up a good 30 min. before training--makes a world of diiference.

  • I do think that warming up prior to a particular exercise is the right thing to do; example, prior to bench press I do a set with just the olympic bar - 45 pounds, then move on to the actual workout of that part, but getting on the treadmill does not ''warm up" the parts I am concentrating on on any given day. Unless I am doing a leg workout. Even then I don't see being on the treadmill 30 minutes prior to a leg workout. I've been doing this a long time and don't find value in that.

  • wow. you have one of the most boring voices i have ever heard.

  • i m a rock climber

n 1 sentence i will tell u how 2 get rid of lactic acid while exercising!

rest, rest and rest only removes lactic acid, up to 24 hours rest for complete removal, and 3-30 minutes rest while exercising if you rest more than 30 minutes you need to warm up again.

    bye

  • how to prevent lactic acid through food.... 5 grams of L-Arginine (beans, peanuts, chicken, tuna, salmon, and eggs).for this amino acid you should consume 1 can of beans, or 2 cans of tuna, or 1 pound of chicken... these are the easiest to make and more common foods . and a significant level of L-Citrulline....( watermellon... roughly 1 pound of watermellon.) this will create an increase and more efficient flow of Nitric Oxcide thus helping your body from getting lactic acid

  • I'm copping it in my calfs so fucking bad atm :'(

  • pt 6 ...to me ...the onset of the lactic acid feelings in my legs did feel as though my muscles where beginning to break down ....and so for a whole day and still the following day my body has been in rest mode to allow the acid build up to b eliminated

  • pt 5. but i can vouch to the fact i have had zero / no lactic acid up untill this freek event in the past 14 years in which i have been following a vegan lifestyle

  • pt 4 . and so stupidly ...i ploughed on another 2 miles to the gardening job ....did 2 hours there ...trying to reset myself with the food i had brought along ..MORE stimulating foods such as salty peanut butter on white bread ...it was food ...so i funneled it down ontop of the acid forming foods from days previous ...anyway the next day ....i just had to sleep nearly all day while the body detoxed from all the acid build up

  • pt 3 ...so ...eventually...the sugar high wore off ....and the body was ready for a simple food such as porridge to keep me powered and finally reset my acid alkaline balance ...but i was about 2 miles from home headed with a friend to a gardening job ....and although my body had highly reduced energy and hugely craved a bowl of resetting porridge ..my friend tried to reasure me i would b ok with MORE white bread and bananas ...i was sick of even the thought of bananas now ...

  • pt 2 .. because of time ...the previous day i had to have quite a bit of white bread and agave syrup with soya margarine to try and replicate the ingredients of a banana sandwhich i had wanted ....the agave is good in small amounts ....but acts too much like sugar in large amounts ....and together with large amounts of acidifying white bread is not a very good combo

  • i had lactic acid for the first time in about 14 years a couple of days ago ...and i know it was from not having enough porridge in the tank .....lactic acid occures when the body has had too much refined breads and sugars ...then one does too much excercise and doesnt have that comforting bowl of steady energy wholegrain porridge

  • Will lactic acid buildup after treadmillin' make your legs look bigger?
