During the Economist Risk summit held this year in London, unquantifiable risks were the major subject of discussion. Pippa Malmgren, president of Principalis AM answers to News Insurances about these.
According to Ms. Malmgren, the major unquantifiable risks that matter in the world economy are politics, policy and geopolitics. These risks are not to be taken lightly and should not be thought of as totally unpredictable. The founder of Principalis AM believes that it is possible to anticipate what will unfold next by closely paying attention to these three factors. These unquantifiable factors also have an impact on the insurance sector's risks.
Ms. Malmgren finishes by adding with the current turbulent economy, the need for a wider range of skills is growing and it is becoming more obvious that these skills will be required to analyse events and know what needs to be done in order to profit in the future.
