Grand Central's 2,660mph train -- London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange
We wanted to celebrate our direct route from London Kings Cross station to Bradford Interchange Station, so we filmed the route in super speed -- enjoy!
London to Bradford Interchange in six minutes: The 14.48 departs London Kings Cross, calling at Doncaster, Pontefract Monkhill, Wakefield Kirkgate, Brighouse and Halifax before arriving into Bradford Interchange at 17.55 having travelled 221 miles (355.7km).
Filmed in the cab of an Alstom Class 180 High Speed Diesel Multiple Unit, built in 2001.

Great view and the stops at signals are pretty cool.
I made a 2.36 min time-lapse video from Kings Cross to Brighouse on Grand Central back in April. It was a test and shooting every 5 seconds was too far apart so a bit jumpy, but mine isn't so pixelated (what happened after Wakey?!).
Was going to ask them if I could shoot one like this but didn't get round to it. Pretty annoyed with myself as I'd have loved to have done this for them, for free too.

Two great films from GC, if you enjoyed you should take a look at London to Brighton in 3 and a half minutes from 1983 too!

Not easy to read the signals at 2,660 mph - the four-aspect colour lights need a flashing green setting to give that bit of extra braking distance!
