  • all you need to do, is build another wall, in front of the wall, without the two of them touching. if the walls dont touch, the sound vibrations cant travel from one to the other.

  • where do we buy z bar ?

  • Where can you purchase the z-bar????

  • is there a blue print or a plan I can print?

  • I beg to differ from dazzelya. You need the zbar, and preferably with rsic clips. The biggest issue is sound vibration going through the wall, not the sound from the air. If you don't use it, sound will travel to the wall, cause it to vibrate, and will get picked up on the other side since the other side also vibrates.

IMO, draywall, vinyl barrier, zbar+rsic clip, stud, then the same in reverse. (yes, double studs). You don't wan same studs holding both sides of the wall to lessen vibration

  • Wood frame, two layers of drywall and some insulation between the existing wall and drywall. If you are building a new wall, use two layers of drywall on each side.

You won't need the z bar nor the soundboard that he shows in the vid.

  • I'm building a vocal booth what is the best structure of layers?
