We had a great time running our butane-fired steam locomotive at the National Summer Steam Up in Sacramento. For those who don't know, these are real steam engines- many use butane as the fuel to boil the water in the boiler, but others use denatured alcohol, and some die-hards have even made coal-fired locomotives. All in all a great hobby for anyone interested in machines in general, and railroading in particular. The National Summer Steam Up happens in Mid-July every year, but there are other steam ups in other parts of the country. If you are interested, Google "live steam" and you should be able to find steamers in your general area.

  • @TheElsadogge Thanks! You are correct! Had to go with a train themed song. I used Night Train on the other Summer Steam Up vid from a couple of years ago.
