INGREDIENTS
2 pounds asparagus, tough ends trimmed, cut into 2-inch pieces
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 yellow squash
1/2 teaspoon garlic, powder
1 pound tilapia
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice

PREPARATION
Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Put asparagus and squash in a steamer basket, place in the pan, cover and steam until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes. Transfer to a large plate, spreading out to cool.
Combine chili powder, garlic powder on a plate. Dredge fillets in the spice mixture to coat. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish and cook until just opaque in the center, gently turning halfway, 5 to 7 minutes total. Divide among 4 plates. Immediately add lemon juice, squash and asparagus to the pan and cook, stirring constantly, until the asparagus is coated and heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve the asparagus with the fish.

  • I just made this and it came out awesome. I like spicy foods so I even added a bit of Cholula sauce on it. I had no clue Tilapia was so high in protein or that it could be made to taste good.

Brandon thanks so much for these nutrition videos. I've been lifting for years but could never get truly cut because I was clueless about my diet. I really like that you recommend exact ingredients, and that you show every single step in the process. Best of all the macros or there. Keep up the great work!

  • @JohnnyChowder Thanks Johnny, glad this turned out well for you!

  • @CampbellFitness I would like to know why you always use asparagus in your recipes? is it very healthy or you just like the taste?

  • @sneak2attack I use a lot of broccoli, green beans, squash and other vegetables too, it's just coincidence that in these vids I have asparagus (but it is good for you too).

  • does asparagus increase testosterone ???

  • @123torpe It supposedly helps increase testosterone/libido b/c it's rich in vitamin E. Although Don't expect to see any real noticeable differences.

  • @CampbellFitness Laugh out LOUD! Duh!?

  • @mfnmike1 It's pretty good. Just go light on the chili powder if you don't like spicey foods.

  • I'll have to try that looks good

  • @bathdianboy Try using less chili powder
