The Internets Celebrities Dallas Penn and Rafi Kam go in for an investigative report on Check-Cashing. Themes explored include usury, economic instability, commercial banks and their profit line, and the cycle of poverty.
Oh yeah, it's a comedy.
The video is shot on location in Bushwick and Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, New York. Also stars special guest Internets Celebrity Ben Popken of Consumerist.com.

No, but lacks information from both sides. See these check n cash places, rob from poor, but also help the poor. Especially those who are illegals and get paid with checks (under the table). MOst of these places just need a picture id. As oppose to banks who want ss, mutiple forms of i.d ect.. to open a bank account.

did you actually watch the whole movie? we do plenty of talking about poor people lacking access to the banking system. this isn't just a condemnation of check cashing places just like our flick bodega wasn't just a condemnation of those establishments.
