Very odd...the third car did not have an Amtrak logo...

Well we got 2 feet last sunday and everything went as normal. Church services werent even cancelled, and everyone went about their day normally, even going to the football game. They are forecasting another few feet by the weekend and everyone is like "who cares"

Oh believe me, I feel you pain when it comes to be freezing by the tracks. Hey, at least you HAVE a vehicle with working heat to sit in. I've been getting used to that now, but in a week when I go back to the Boston area and get trackside on the weekends I'll be braving the elements all day in nothing else but however many layers of clothes I happen to put on that day!

2 hours late but at least they got there-- some people at the airports over there in this storm waited 2 DAYS on planes!! (c: Great snow shots, fantastic to see that area with a significant snow cover!!

amazing
Damn, two hours late and the 194 is only as far north as Ashland. Wonder what time it rolled into Boston...

That snow is nothing

...which is what I think most of the people on I-95 said right before they slid off into the median. Sure it's no Donner Pass in terms of snowfall, that's obvious, but 12-20 inches in these parts doesn't happen all that often.

We get about that much each week here, people down there don't know how to handle the elements

You're preaching to the choir. Growing up in Philly they'd have just slapped some chains on the buses and told us we'd be a little late. I moved to NC when I was 10 and suddenly a single flake would fall and there was a run on bread, milk, and water.
