it always cracks me up how inexperienced fliers always say "we flew THRU a T-storm. If planes did that you would have a lot of arrivals that would never land at their intended destinations!!

Okay, we flew next to one. But, planes fly through storms all the time, they're built to withstand that sort of thing. Planes are hit by lightning all the time, but they're made to handle it. I've been on plenty of planes in my life, I just thought this particular view was beautiful and worth sharing.
