My theory on the story: They are hanging out and playing videogames at their buddie's house while the guy's dad is downstairs and cooking meth in the basement. Due to a accident with the cooking of the meth, the result is a large explosion that releases hallucigenic fumes into the air. The three boys then share a single drug trip, where they eventually make their way into the basement, drink all the booze from the cabinets, and proceed to rape the deceased father's corpse...makes sense...
