@GOTH86 He said this to his biographer. What he said was '"You know what I did this morning? I played the voice of a toy. I play a planet. I menace somebody called Something-or-other. Then I'm destroyed. My plan to destroy Whoever-it-is is thwarted and I tear myself apart on the screen."
And to be fair, the Transformers franchise did begin with a toyline, and they made the cartoons to better help them sell the toys.

It's so funny looking back at Pinky and the Brain now, knowing that Maurice LaMarche was just doing an Orson Welles impression. His "YES!" is freakin' dead on. I also love his "Rosebud Peas" commercial on The Critic. That stuff sailed over my head as a kid.

@duanestorey No, it's not. It's a parody of his frozen peas commercial ranting.
-
he still wouldn't have given a damn about it. It's was just an overblown toy commercial back then.

I Love this guy.

nothing makes sense

My favorite part " And Ultra Magnus lives on the planet of Junk .... this is a load of junk "
-
@duanestorey it is a parody. Look up Orson Welles' famous frozen peas commercial and you'll see that it is word-for-word the same as this.

what a dick lol
good parody But I actually can Imagine It was like this: He was uninspired and didn't like this role remember he once said to his wife I belive(?) "Do you know what i did today? I played a toy in a movie about toys that do terrible things to each other"(not knowing there wasn't a Unicron Toy til 20 years later)

@GOTH86 That's what I heard too. They say Orson wasn't too enthusiastic about this role, and he didn't know much about the movie or the Transformers franchise.
