This song has one of the greatest hooks ever! Once heard, it is burned into the mind.
The Hollies were big Creedence Clearwater Revival fans, and this song was their tip of the hat to them.

When this song hit the charts, we were coming out of the Viet Nam War and going into a recession. The music was so very fine. This was a top song by the Hollies and in its time.
