Scientists alwas ignore dermal ridges, and even if a man could mimic the Patterson bigfoot today with a custom costume, was that technology available 50 years-ago NO. When's the last time you came upon the bones of a bear, mountain lion or other rare animal in the forest? If these ignorant book jockeys would actually get off their lazy butts and go out and do some actual field research they might begin to believe such a creature could exist.

typical hype. they never show the entirely restored film for 2 reasons. copyright & legacy. they don't want it all over youtube. but wouldn't that help prove it's real? NO. if this were your family's legacy would you allow anyone to discredit you? NO.

Patterson wrote a book about Bigfoot in '66 which flopped. He was in debt. In '67 he wants to prove they're real as stated in his book. Whatta' surprise. He & his best friend film one. FAKE.

@TheSpaghetti64 for me i believe in bigfoot, because so many people tell me they constantly run into raccoons, but i have never personally seen one in my life in person. same with a bear, mountain lions, ect. just like you said. there are millions of millions of acres of wildlife forest where humans dont live, but sometimes do visit. so its completely possible for a huge creature to hide with rare sightings. the giant squit was thought to be myth till they finally caught one live. give it time

True that new species r being discovered but its so hard to give credit to Bigfoot because of the people they put on tv. Come on Discovery Channel Matt Moneymaker and Bobo!? Everything at night n d woods isn't Bigfoot. If no changes r made for 3rd season, im out.

I would wonder if each frame of the film was photographed multiple times with varying levels of light rather than a fixed luminosity. That would require a huge amount of memory, no doubt, but certain aspects can be washed out in too high light. I wonder how much more information can be extracted using various kinds of light as well, not just intensity of light.

@TheSpaghetti64 I hate scientists who scoff at the possibility of Sasquatch existing or having existed in the past. However I equally hate people like Matt Moneymaker (of "Finding Bigfoot"), who hears a Sasquatch in every patch of grass he visits. I'd LOVE for Sasquatch to exist, but it saddens me to say that I believe the possibility of its existence is small.

People tracking this THING and hoping to CATCH it reminds me of a story my GrandPa told me about a dog chasing a car. Whats he going to DO with it if he catches it? LOL That thing if its as big and strong as they say, could rip a man in half. Theres a story from the 1700s where a camp of hunters were attacked at night by one, he mangled them all! I say Leave it alone!
