This video deals with a staged incident in which a car hits an overturned tanker. Here you can see the techniques used by the rescue services involved. Other Videos show vehicles arriving at Brooklands, driving up Test Hill and a general look around the site. There is also a video of the noisy Emergency Vehicle Convoy.

the video is one of a number of High Definition Videos posted by the Brooklands Film Crew, relating to the 2009 Brooklands Emergence Services Mayday Event.

Thanks to: Ontime Automotive Limited, St John Ambulance, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and Surrey Police The camera men were Paul Swift and Andy Lambert.

  • The Mayday 2010 Video (Part 4) Shows the Recovery Team working during the day giving demonstartion of Vehicle Recovery. We have never done them after the stage incident, because most members of the public have had enough by then.

  • If that was a real incident would the fire engine be that close to the tanker

  • It would greatly depend on the circumstances and what room was available of course, however in this case the main consideration was to give a clear view to the public as events unfolded.

  • which fire station is that?

  • It is the one in Walton. This year it will be the Cobham lads but Some of the Walton guys are attending.

  • Fire service- No rush lads!

  • I edited out the Cartwheel one of them did!

  • @bmwnasher What do you think?

  • Well Done

  • I see heavy recovery trucks. Did the recovery operators demonstrate recovery afterwards?

  • @Hartsock91 Looks like the tanker rolled and the car was unable to stop in time.

  • that little car managed to push over that tanker! Amazing D:

  • If that was my fire department in America then the F.D. would be in complete control and the police would sit back and shut up and we would have multiple engines 3 rescue trucks and EMS would bring ambulances and their rescue truck.

  • Are you working in a emergency service?
