January 2008, The Granary is destroyed in a suspicious fire. The Independent reports "Investigators suspect arson after an earlier unsuccessful attempt to burn down the Grade II-listed restaurant was captured on CCTV a fortnight previously. The police suggested it could be the work of a Ramsay obsessive with a grudge.

The Granary in Titchfield, which featured on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares just before Christmas, was destroyed in a blaze on Saturday morning just a fortnight after an unsuccessful attempt was made to burn it down.
