Up until recently, moving large trees always required the severing of parts of the root system. A new technique for moving trees, called the bare root tree planting method, makes it possible to move trees without damaging their roots. Dave talked to some experts about this new technique for moving trees at the 2010 New England Grows trade show; take a look.

  • @TubeCutter214You don't need to know 100% of the scientific terminology to be a pro. I few misconceptions of words here and there doesn't mean someone doesn't know their stuff. I bet these guys do a good job. a company who has a high success rate of transplanted trees speaks for itself.

  • Also if the common pratice out here is planting deep and piling the mulch against the trunk, what's the sense?

  • If you spend big money moving big trees make sure the people know what soil is, what photosyntesis is and what an elemnts is verses a nutrient. Nutrient would contain all things essential and that is why we would call something nutrious. Vitamines, elements and energy for starters. Watch out for so called tree experts that do not understand tree biology.

  • Does not understand trees. Calls soil "dirt" and elements "nutrients". Flunked photosyntesis.

  • Awesome Vid!
