  • I've never seen an actual electrolysis of a molten compound, good upload!

  • This is a really good one! The science teaachers show such videos during our lessons. This is what I saw during chemistry. Where did you get this video? They are professionally-made, did you send it from somewhere? Thanks for uploading it.

  • @safilily24 Thank you so very much good youtuber :)

  • @thebigbangtheoryftw nope. It is insoluble in water.

  • @safilily24 So it can be electrolyzed in water? Sorry for asking again.

  • @safilily24 *PbBr2

  • @thebigbangtheoryftw Because in this situation PbBr can be electrolyzed without using OH (which is in an aqueous solution). It can simply be molten. Did that help?

  • @safilily24 Yeah, but why does Lead Bromide need to be molten? why can't it be electrolyzed in an aqueous solution?

  • @thebigbangtheoryftw because electricity can only flow through mobile electrons which mean it HAS molten or aqueous. The only exception i know of is graphite. :D

  • this is too cool.

  • GREAT! but can someone explain why is has to be molten and why it cant just be electrolyzed in a solution with water? Please i need help
