It is believed that the lions take to the tree's as protection against the biting flies at ground level or possibly to catch any breeze to stay cool.
I videoed these in 2005.
Early evening the adults left the trees, spread out & set an ambush in the hope of an easy dinner!
Till the cubs joined them that is!
Please rate & constructive critisism about the editing is more than welcome! I put these videos together from my video's taken each year & I travel economy so my baggage allowance only allows me to take the minimum in equipment! Pure envy when I see the Pro film crews & their truck loads of equipment!
But do they have the thrill of planning each years trip? Trying to get the most from a 12 day trip?
hehe, i love these felines, it's so wonderful to just watch them be in peace :) When i look at my cats they are the same, just scaled down 5x! They are quite a smart clan to have learned to take to the tree's, hopefully Lions will expand in numbers now
