Sony Vaio CS Laptop fan sounds like a Lawnmower!! - HELP!

@kkjgg112391 hello, hope you could help me... same thing happened with my fan..:( i bought my CS vaio in singapore.. did you buy yours here in the philippines? I have a problem coz the warranty is only accepted in SG. so hows your fan after the replacement? I've searched solid- service but accdg to the site, they do not repair vaio?:( where solid-service specifically did you go to?

omg, i have this problem as well. i know that we need to take it to sony to have it repaired. but i dont know any places in sydneyyyy! ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?

my computer had the same problem, i sent to sony and they changed the fun. The same problem since the 7th month. Now there are not the sound but I had problems with the windows, I do not know if the problem with the fun have a relation with the system.

just like mine. take a look at the old fan. the chinese brand is what made it sound noisy. but then again... it got replaced by a chinese brand too but this time it's a MAGLEV FAN SAME WITH APPLE'S MACBOOKS.

I suppose the maglev fan doesn't have much friction as the old fan. (obviously)

fan defects doesn't have any connection with YOU TUBE!

It's a hardware problem. the fan is defected. it only became more silent in windows 7 since windows 7 supports better power management thus making the fan run slower=silence.

though pretty soon it will just get worse like mine. got mine's fan replaced by solid-service here in manila philippines. I'm glad sony here in our country do what it does best, REPAIR THEIR FAULTY MEDIOCRE LAWNMOWERS!

I couldn't hear your laptop fan properly because MINE WAS MAKING THE SAME NOISE!!! It's so LOUD!! I have a white one too and I just bought it this september. I thought I could ignore it but man it is so annoying!!

Faulty fan motor..KNOWN Sony defect. You must have Sony repair. WARNING: Back up files before repair. I got my VAIO back and Sony corrupted the op system, apps Word, Excel and printing. A system restore has to be done and apps reinstalled...total nightmare!!! I want my money back..Sony defers to warranty and Sony Centre retailer to guarantee. Only after 2nd repair can I get an exchange..after 3rd, a refund. DON'T BUY SONY..tell your friends and file a complaint to consumer protection agency!!!
