  • @mikeff2012 Thank you. I'll pass on your suggestion!

  • @Dovebyrd I think she would be able to get lower if she put her arms out a little bit wider, it will make it a little bit harder because it's more work on her chest though. They are supposed to be a "little" wider than shoulder length, but I doubt they would call her on it because "little" is kinda ambiguous. Tell her to slowly move her hands out wider and wider until she can break the plane then try it on the test.

  • @mikeff2012 How does one do it properly when they have a 36E chest? My daughter keeps getting sent back to remedial PT in the AF because she isn't going low enough... but her chest gets in the way. Suggestions?

  • @GhilliexInxThexMist i know right!

  • Some "Professional", push up's build muscle, in some minor way, and, increase strength of muscles, according to him (Not really)..., the regular push up / press up was an exercise formed to help build muscular endurance

  • These are normal push ups! In the military, they make you where backpacks filled with very heavy equipment.

  • @thebanjoman96 that is the best push up as it makes it harder :)

  • What are you people talking about? This IS how they do push-ups in the Army. Some of these comments are just so stupid... elbows brush your side. It's simple, you put your arms a little wider than shoulder width and go down until your back and your arms make a flat surface or "break the plane", then push yourself back up. It's not some insane push-up variation.

  • Erm, isn't this just a simple press-up?
