Tom Brokaw on Meet the Press reading off the list of things Al Gore has rightfully said about George Bush, and asking him why he didn't bring those things up when he met with Bush when he was honored for receiving the Nobel Prize. Well first off since what was said between them was private, Brokaw doesn't know one way or the other what he said. And second, why is criticizing the worst administration in the history of this country "politics as usual" if you're not willing to slap Bush around when you're trying to get something you care about some attention during a face to face meeting? Brokaw is doing his best to immitate Fox News here and the entire interview was horrid on his part. Gore was more polite than he needed to be.

  • Gore is a social progressive who is so typical of liberals... he talks out of both sides of his mouth and the only thing he does aboout climate change is make money talking about it he has become a millionaire just on that issue no wonder he drives big cars and goes in private jets ,,

  • "REVERSE! REVERSE!"

  • being polite and even gracious is not the same as being 'buddy' nor was he there to endorse bush's policies. you can more easily make the argument that bush invited the nobel laureates in order to glean the prestige they carry - probably to neutralize some of the very non-scientific and non-humanitarian policy decisions the administration has made.

  • The problem is, Gore didn't speak the truth "TO power", he spoke "the truth" to the media, calling Bush a moral coward, than when he's face to face with the President, he makes buddy buddy with him. It's the typical attempt to score points with the liberals to feed lines to the press and than, act like he's the man's buddy when he sees him in person.

  • WHAT? of course i get what he's saying. just because gore spoke truth to power doesn't mean that he should stop speaking or maintain the same rhetorical stance. i don't think gore's answer was uncomfortable at all - nor the laugh. watch mccain answer an uncomfortable question and then re-watch gore answering brokaw. you'll see what i mean.

  • That's not what he's saying, ho2cultcha. Try to follow. Brokaw is asking Gore, if you called Bush a "moral coward" and that he "betrayed the country", than why would he try to make nice with him at a private session in the White House when no microphones are in sight? Gore looks typically weak here, the uncomfortable "crap I don't have an answer" laugh, the lame "well those comments were made a couple of years ago". Typical hypocrisy from Dr. Mega Footprint....

  • If it will piss you off count me in. But who is algore?

  • Better still you idiots could turn a giant wheel to generate electricity for algore's mansion

  • Better still maybe Al Gore should erect a giant wheel that generates electricity and all of you idiots can get together and push it.

  • All of you global warming belivers should destroy your homes move to Tenn. erect a cardboard box outside of Algore's Mansion and wait for him to throw out some food scraps so you can eat. YOU OWE IT TO THE PLANET!!!
