Pre - Behaving Badly

For that one person who is attempting to extract something meaningful from this video: where I said 'row,' I meant to say 'column.' What else can I say? The past few months have been pure hell with the Pre. It's now late July 2011. But for a whole year there -- April to April -- it was the opposite: pure heaven. Hardware build-quality issues have doomed this Verizon version of the Pre Plus. Over the past year and a half, there have been a great many upheavals at Palm (now the company doesn't exist). Even with the HP TouchPad out, there's still a lot of uncertainty about the future of webOS, that magical software working behind the scenes on the Palm Pre, and my one true love. As reluctant as I am to move on, many things are forcing my hand in the direction of the iPhone4; mostly that the Pre3 isn't out yet and no specific date has been set. With my phone in its current state, it's going to be really tough to make it through summer. Even after the Palm Pre is long dead, you'll still occasionally hear that term "the card metaphor"; well, just remember, it started with webOS -- the first, and maybe only, true multitasking mobile operating system out there.
