Actually, I think Alan Menken was inspired by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The movement in Le Carnival des Animaux: Aquarium is basically this theme. While you can't find this prologue song without the dialogue, you can download Aquarium! It's a lovely piece...and the true original.

the new stuff is pretty good, yes, but they will never ever be as good as the old disney movies.. cars is nothing compared to lion king, beauty and the beast , pocahontas or bambi.
