I grew up about 3 miles from where Ronnie did (and I still live here), and Ive heard first-hand storys.. Trust me, you may wana be careful with that whole "I wish I could have met you" thing. lol

RVZ was indeed ONE of the all time greatest in the business. R.I.P. Ronnie Van Zant. You might be gone physically, but Spiritually you are still amongst us.

Thank you for sharing this interview. It has been 45 years since I heard Ronnie's voice...oh, not his music....I've heard his singing...but, talking and laughing...I was 15 the last night we talked...he was 18...funny...45 years later, his voice has the same effect. Thank you again.

Man of few words... I think alot of entertainers (these days) could take a few lessons from RVZ. Always stayed true to himself. Common, like the dude you grew up with down the street...

What a bright articulate man. Terrible tragedy. Listening to this, sounds like they would have come up with some more classic songs. Saw them first time round in'76 and 77. Best live band I ever saw. Old Skynyrd way better than new one
