Stop CETA [HQ] Occupy Windsor Protest October 29, 2011

On October 29, 2011 the People of Windsor Ontario Canada are going to march against CETA, the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the EU. This video explains why we are against this economic agreement between OUR country, Canada, and the European Union.

The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union poses a serious threat to Canadians. Up to 150 000 jobs could be lost if this free trade agreement passes. The agreement is also a risk to the procurement and purchasing power of municipal governments as they will be subject to the agreement.

This Saturday, Occupy Windsor will be marching to raise awareness about CETA in the Windsor community. We will be distributing fliers and pamphlets to passerbyers during the march and we invite everyone to return to the encampment following the march for a teach-in and discussion about CETA.

Leading up to the march, Occupy Windsor will be reaching out to the Windsor community to inform everyone about CETA. We also hope to schedule teach-ins this week, so please stay tuned for more information.

In support of Occupy Wall Street, and all the other cities standing up for their rights. Keep yourself informed, and inform others. The media is not covering this story, (which is possibly the biggest movement of our time, spreading across every continent), so we have to cover it ourselves. Ignorance is NOT bliss.

On October 15th, the 99% are standing up to the 1% "elite" of the population. And Windsor will be doing the same.
