Ikebukuro Station, the opening day of Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line service.
Tokyo Metro opened a new subway Fukutoshin line on June 14, 2008.

#1: The "First" train of the Fukutoshin Line Northbound.
#2: The Southbound train arrives at Ikebukuro Station.

2008년 6월 14일, 도쿄 메트로 후쿠토신선 개업 첫날의 이케부쿠로역 모습.
1: 이케부쿠로역에 발착하는 와코시행 개업 첫 열차.
2: 이케부쿠로역에 도착하는 시부야행 일반완행전철.

  • these trains are better than the tin cans we see them in nyc

  • The barriers to the tracks are very interesting. Looking at the model most subways have now it seems amazing that we still operate with completely open tracks.

  • @jackieliem2007 They are partially automated, at least most subways are (like they are here in Los Angeles).
