Part 2 of my review for Pan's Labyrinth. Directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

This is a 2 part episode because I just can't shut up about this film. Part 1 is right here:

  • great review man !! Do you have any suggestions of other similar movies ?

  • I highly recommend The Devil's Backbone. It's one of Guillermo Del Toro's earlier films. I don't consider it to be as powerful as Pan's Labyrinth, but it still is a masterful combination of the real world mixed with the supernatural. It is also more of a thriller/suspence movie than PL. Definitely check it out!

  • Thank you for giving a solid review. Your part on subtitles, well said! In my 13 years of viewing movies, subtitles have never bothered the experience, 3D movies if anything have bothered my experience, jesus. I think I figured out why it drives people crazy: because most people do NOT want to use their brains and drool over something completely bland and moronic. YOUR BRAIN IS SUPPOSED TO HELP YOU, PEOPLE!!!!

  • OMG your hilarious!! I actually got captivated by your review! And yes, Pan's Labyrinth is one of the best films of all time and I normally don't jump on fan boats and take the hype but I really did enjoy this movie that much.

  • Subtitleaphobia, haha! Great review, and what an incredible film.

  • I love the movie, and your review is good! :)

  • Most excellent my darling. I can't wait to see this movie with you next available night!! xoxoxox

  • people who are put off by subtitles are missing out on some fantastic films, especially when you comepare the pedigree of foreign films to the hollywood scene.

the film was great, I'm not sure I liked it quite as much as yourself but still one of the best films the of the year it was released.

highly origional and is imensely immersive. 9.5/10

  • Try chewing gum and walking at the same time =P
