  • I'm not from New York, once again. But I do live where they use Salt, Calcium chloride and Magnesium chloride. I did not think about the Eaten' up road that it causes. So, yeah, snow, salt and asphalt all mixed together does cause black slush. LOL! By the way, i've sen the vid your talking about.

  • @73bubbie damn thoes are some pretty good plows then

  • @73bubbie check out cat325ccr videos ,you can see a komatsu on top of one of the many salt storage areas ,fckn bloomberg wants to cut the salt from our diets ,he should be cutting the salt from our pothole infested infrastructure instead

  • @daewooparts ha! i live in NYC and they do not use coal cynders ,pure rock salt from chilie and argentina mixed with urea sometimes ,they go thru at least 338.000 mectric tons of salt in a few months(one ship load) they consume about 3 on a mild winter. sorry i know i live here and the salt dump is just a few miles away from me,and my friends uncle is a sea captian for lesco, the company that alantic salt hires to bring it in, its PURE SALT ,with a little PISS thrown in on some steel bridges

  • @daewooparts New York has one the largest road salt surpluses in the USA. Unless they paint the salt black, this is either coal cinders, or slag. Every single vehicle that I have ever seen with salt on it after a winter storm is so white, you cannot even tell what color the vehicle is.

  • @73bubbie no salt ,they put down more salt then snow at times

  • @daewooparts That is road salt he/she is spreading. You may talking about the nasty ol' coal cinders. YEAH

  • @MegaAndrewn I,m not a New Yorker, but they have the salters ever made. One Truck can spread Three lanes at once.
