    1. Barely; just.

    2. To almost no degree; almost not: "I could hardly hear the speaker." or "we hardly knew the family"

    3. Probably or almost surely not: "Easily was a man made an infidel, but hardly might he be converted to another faith"

  • Excuse me guy but hardly has an absolutely different meaning, something like "small chance to do anything". For example - I hardly will get home in time.

    noun=hard Adverb= hard? why not "hardly"?

    Is possible to say

    "he works hardly"?

    i think both are correct .....or not?
