just wondering how to came to play open handed - were you left handed but didnt want to be awkward? (thats my reason)
I have my kit set up with no cymbals on the right as i tend to ride on any of them though, so, for instance
What would you do if you needed to ride on your china?

I can play both ways but I feel more comfortable leading with my left, so if I had to ride my china, i would use my right hand.

But i'm not sure what you are talking about...it's my drum track throughout the whole thing, with of course the drum track from the actual track underneath and very quiet.

Evans Power Center over Hazy 300 with Gibraltar 42 strand snare wires.
Reso is medium tight, batter varies (in this case it was probably pretty high)
