@smokewagon47 You are wrong. In our useless little town people red run lights, drive motorcycles 90mph in a 55mph (no helmet) , people shoot others walking down the street and our fat, donut-eating cowards in blue waste time by ticketing for not wearing a seat belt. Ridiculous and so are you if you think the State has ANY business telling me to wear a seat belt. I am insured and drive safely. Seat belts are restrictive of movement and thereby create a hazard. It is my life not the State's.

So your saying that you can bullshit your way out of a ticket

@smokewagon47 others arent injured or killed because someone isnt wearing a seabelt, only those who chose t not wear one. so your statement is false, stop trying to look smart... your not.

In SC It is against the State constitution for the Government to mandate the use of Medical Equipment. Since seat belts are not designed for driving enhancement, but rather as a safety or medical device, the law is contrary to the constitution and thereby illegal in itself. It is merely a way for law enforcement to invade our privacy and generate revenue.

The reason seat belt tickets are a law is because if you get in a wreck, some fat ass might get ejected from the car and kill other people. Or more likely, other people within his own car.

also cops do not need a warrant to search your vehicle...all they need is probable cause...for instance..."i smell marijuana"...yea its a dick move but they do it...hince why i hate police...or at least its lik that here in georgia

Increasing the national seat belt use rate to 90 percent from the current 68 percent would prevent and estimated 5,536 fatalities, 132,670 injuries and save the nation $8.8 billion annually. Some people see the choice to wear seat belts as a matter of “personal freedom.” But in our society, personal freedoms stop where others are injured or killed. (NTSB).
