Since graduating from Brandeis in 1998, Nelson Figueroa has played professional baseball all over the world. One of the biggest highlights happened in October 2009, when he pitched the best game of his Major League career- a complete game shutout- for the New York Mets. Less than a week later, he was back on campus to become the first baseball team alum to have his Brandeis number retired.
