This is the moment a brave shop assistant swept a gang of hammer-wielding robbers out of her store - with a BROOM. Grandmother Ann Withers grabbed the 4ft long plastic sweeper the hooded yobs rained down vicious blows on shopkeeper Guljinder Hayer with three metal claw hammers. CCTV cameras captured the terrifying moment the have-a-go hero defends her boss - who feared he would be MURDERED by the youths who demanded cash. As he struggles to fend off the youths with a wooden stool Ms Withers hits the yobs with the sweeping end of the broom before chasing them out of the shop in Worle, Somerset.

thing is, most of this kind of criminals are pretty desperate, but not evil. they came to rob the store not kill someone. fact is if they had fought back she wouldnt have had a chance.
